Depuis 1991, l’association organise le Marathon de La Rochelle, qui se revendique \u00ab\u00a0Populaire, Convivial et Festif\u00a0\u00bb, trois valeurs essentielles insuffl\u00e9es par le pr\u00e9sident-fondateur, Serge Vigot.<\/p>

Sous l\u2019impulsion de Jacques Bouyat, animateur socio-culturel, un groupe r\u00e9unissant repr\u00e9sentants de clubs d\u2019athl\u00e9tisme et passionn\u00e9s de course \u00e0 pied d\u00e9cide d\u2019organiser un Marathon \u00e0 La Rochelle. L\u2019association du Marathon de La Rochelle se cr\u00e9e, et Serge Vigot devient son pr\u00e9sident.<\/p><\/div>\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t

Pendant plus de 10 ans, Serge Vigot repr\u00e9sente l\u2019association. En 2005, il dispara\u00eet lors du Marathon de Marrakech. Coup dur pour l\u2019asso, qui d\u00e9cide de continuer malgr\u00e9 tout et de rendre hommage \u00e0 son pr\u00e9sident-fondateur en ajoutant son nom \u00e0 l\u2019\u00e9v\u00e9nement.<\/p><\/div>\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t

Aujourd\u2019hui, l\u2019\u00e9v\u00e9nement est toujours g\u00e9r\u00e9 par l\u2019association, et revendique plus que jamais la force de l'engagement collectif : 63 adh\u00e9rents \u00e0 l\u2019ann\u00e9e, 3 salari\u00e9s, et 1 300 b\u00e9n\u00e9voles sur le week-end permettent d\u2019assurer la r\u00e9ussite du Marathon de La Rochelle Serge Vigot.<\/p><\/div>\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t
